उमामहेश्वरस्तोत्रम्

 

श्री शङ्कराचार्य कृतम् ।

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां नवयौवनाभ्याम्

परस्पराश्लिष्टवपुर्धराभ्याम् ।

नागेन्द्रकन्यावृषकेतनाभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ १॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां सरसोत्सवाभ्याम्

नमस्कृताभीष्टवरप्रदाभ्याम् ।

नारायणेनार्चितपादुकाभ्यां

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ २॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां वृषवाहनाभ्याम्

विरिञ्चिविष्ण्विन्द्रसुपूजिताभ्याम् ।

विभूतिपाटीरविलेपनाभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ३॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां जगदीश्वराभ्याम्

जगत्पतिभ्यां जयविग्रहाभ्याम् ।

जम्भारिमुख्यैरभिवन्दिताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ४॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां परमौषधाभ्याम्

पञ्चाक्षरी पञ्जररञ्जिताभ्याम् ।

प्रपञ्चसृष्टिस्थिति संहृताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ५॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यामतिसुन्दराभ्याम्

अत्यन्तमासक्तहृदम्बुजाभ्याम् ।

अशेषलोकैकहितङ्कराभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ६॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां कलिनाशनाभ्याम्

कङ्कालकल्याणवपुर्धराभ्याम् ।

कैलासशैलस्थितदेवताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ७॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यामशुभापहाभ्याम्

अशेषलोकैकविशेषिताभ्याम् ।

अकुण्ठिताभ्याम् स्मृतिसम्भृताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ८॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां रथवाहनाभ्याम्

रवीन्दुवैश्वानरलोचनाभ्याम् ।

राकाशशाङ्काभमुखाम्बुजाभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ९॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां जटिलन्धरभ्याम्

जरामृतिभ्यां च विवर्जिताभ्याम् ।

जनार्दनाब्जोद्भवपूजिताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ १०॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां विषमेक्षणाभ्याम्

बिल्वच्छदामल्लिकदामभृद्भ्याम् ।

शोभावती शान्तवतीश्वराभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ ११॥

 

नमः शिवाभ्यां पशुपालकाभ्याम्

जगत्रयीरक्षण बद्धहृद्भ्याम् ।

समस्त देवासुरपूजिताभ्याम्

नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम् ॥ १२॥

 

स्तोत्रं त्रिसन्ध्यं शिवपार्वतीभ्याम्

भक्त्या पठेद्द्वादशकं नरो यः ।

स सर्वसौभाग्य फलानि भुङ्क्ते

शतायुरान्ते शिवलोकमेति ॥ १३॥

 

इति उमामहेश्वरस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ navayauvanābhyām

parasparāśliṣṭavapurdharābhyām |

nāgendrakanyāvṛṣaketanābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 1||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are full of new-youth, Whose beautiful forms are mutually close. Who is the daughter of Nagendra (Himālaya) and Who has the bull as a flag. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ sarasotsavābhyām

namaskṛtābhīṣṭavarapradābhyām |

nārāyaṇenārcitapādukābhyāṃ

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 2||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are in passionate merriment, Who bestow the desired boon to those who salute them, and Whose feet are honored by Nārāyaṇa. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ vṛṣavāhanābhyām

viriñciviṣṇvindrasupūjitābhyām |

vibhūtipāṭīravilepanābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 3||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who have an ox as a vehicle, Who are worshipped by Viriñci (Brahmā), Viṣṇu and Indra, and Who are smeared by ashes and sandalwood powder. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ jagadīśvarābhyām

jagatpatibhyāṃ jayavigrahābhyām |

jambhārimukhyairabhivanditābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 4||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are the rulers and the Lord of the world, Whose forms triumph, and Who are adored by the chief (Indra) of Jambhāri (Agni). Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ paramauṣadhābhyām

pañcākṣarī pañjararañjitābhyām |

prapañcasṛṣṭisthiti saṃhṛtābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 5||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are the great medicine, Who are delighted by the pañcākṣara and the pañjara eulogies, and Who create, maintain and destroy all the manifestations. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāmatisundarābhyām

atyantamāsaktahṛdambujābhyām |

aśeṣalokaikahitaṅkarābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 6||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are very beautiful, Who are ever present in the lotus-like heart of their devotees, and Who possess the welfare of the whole universe in their hands. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ kalināśanābhyām

kaṅkālakalyāṇavapurdharābhyām |

kailāsaśailasthitadevatābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 7||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who destroy the malice of Kaliyuga, Who has a body with famished one on one side, and a pretty one on the other side, and Who dwell at the Mountain Kailāsa. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāmaśubhāpahābhyām

aśeṣalokaikaviśeṣitābhyām |

akuṇṭhitābhyām smṛtisambhṛtābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 8||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who destroy all that leads to bad effects, Who are one and only one in this entire world, Who have a sharp intelligence, and Who are honored by the Smṛtis. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ rathavāhanābhyām

ravīnduvaiśvānaralocanābhyām |

rākāśaśāṅkābhamukhāmbujābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 9||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who have a chariot as a vehicle, Who have the sun, the moon and the fire as their eyes, and Whose lotus-faces are radiant with the light of sun and the moon. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ jaṭilandharabhyām

jarāmṛtibhyāṃ ca vivarjitābhyām |

janārdanābjodbhavapūjitābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 10||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who have curly-locks of hairs, Who are free from old-age and death, and Who are prayed by the One Who is born from the lotus-navel of Janārdana (Brahmā). Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ viṣamekṣaṇābhyām

bilvacchadāmallikadāmabhṛdbhyām |

śobhāvatī śāntavatīśvarābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 11||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who are three-eyed, Who are covered with bilva leaves and mallikā-garland (jasmine), and Who are the God, beautiful and full of peace. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

namaḥ śivābhyāṃ paśupālakābhyām

jagatrayīrakṣaṇa baddhahṛdbhyām |

samasta devāsurapūjitābhyām

namo namaḥ śaṅkarapārvatībhyām || 12||

 

My salutations to Śiva and Pārvatī, Who are eternally blissful, Who protect all beings, Whose hearts are tied to the welfare of the three-worlds, and Who are worshipped by all the gods and the demons. Salutations and salutations to Śaṅkara and Pārvatī.

 

 

stotraṃ trisandhyaṃ śivapārvatībhyām

bhaktyā paṭheddvādaśakaṃ naro yaḥ |

sa sarvasaubhāgya phalāni bhuṅkte

śatāyurānte śivalokameti || 13||

 

Those men who recites with devotion this hymn for Śiva and Pārvatī, at dawn, noon and dusk, would live a life with all luck for hundred years, and then will go to the world of Śiva.
